Victor Perfitt

Managing Director

Victor Perfitt was awarded the MBE in 1999 for services to the herbal medicine industry.

He is a member of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists, the senior professional organisation in the UK, established in 1864. He has over 30 years experience in the manufacture and supply of herbal medicinal products.

He was Chairman of the British Herbal Medicine Association for the past ten years, representing members' interests in negotiations with regulatory bodies. He is also the Director of the European Scientific Co-operative on Phytotherapy (ESCOP) being one of the founder personnel, and is also a Qualified Person in the manufacture of herbal medicinal products under directive 75/3/19/EC

Sales & Marketing Director

June has been at the forefront in Sales & Marketing of herbal medicine and dietary supplements for many years and is responsible for the authoritative image of Bio-Health. During the 1970s and 80s, she was in charge of training and product information for a major retail chain and compiled and wrote the nutritional training manual entitled 'The Directory of Nutritional Supplements'. She has written numerous articles on natural healthcare, training and consumer information leaflets.

June has lectured on OTC herbal medicine in many countries, given talks on diet and healthcare to schools, colleges and healthcare professionals and organised training seminars extensively throughout the UK, Europe and Asia. She is Managing Director of Amberwood Publishing Limited, a publisher specialising in natural healthcare titles.


George Crisp

Dr George Crisp, MB BS MRCGB, qualified at Westminster and Charing Cross Medical School in 1986 before working in a wide variety of medical posts in England and Australia. He completed General Practice training in Bristol in 1992.

George emigrated to Western Australia in 1993 and spent a year as a medical registrar at Royal Perth Hospital before moving to Harvey, a small country town, as a GP. Since returning to Perth in 1997, he set up a small group general practice with three other collegues close to the city of Perth.

George's hobbies include playing soccer, squash, wind surfing and piano. He has travelled extensively in Turkey, the Indian subcontinent and South East Asia. He lives in Perth and is married with two children.


Andrew Chevallier

Andrew Chevallier

Consultant Medical Herbalist

Andrew Chevallier is consultant medical herbalist to Bio-Health and advises on the proper use of herbs for self liming and OTC use.

He is a practising medical herbalist and Fellow and past President of the National Institute of Medical Herbalists. Andrew is currently Senior Lecturer in Herbal Medicine at Middlesex University, having helped to pioneer and develop the 4-year BSc (Hons) course in Herbal Medicine there.

He appears regularly on radio and television and is a leading figure in the world of complementary and alternative medicine. Books by him include Herbal First Aid - Natural Medicine and Herbal Teas - Natural Taste, both published by Amberwood Publishing and has also written The Encyclopedia of Medicinal Plants.

Andrew edits 'Biohealth', a news sheet published quarterly for qualified medical herbalists, pharmacists, professional groups and health food retailers.
